To remember those of our community who have died while homeless, an annual Evansville Homeless Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 15th, 2013 at 5:15 p.m. at Trinity. The public is invited to share in this time of remembrance. Evansville’s first public memorial service was held in 2000 at the prompting of Aurora, whose mission is to prevent and end homelessness in our community. Names have been collected locally dating back to 1990. A total of 70+ names are currently memorialized.
On the fourth Sunday of each month Trinity members assist needy members of the community at the Community Soup Kitchen at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church by helping provide and prepare food, and clean up after meals. Our session from August 25, 2013 is pictured below. To participate in future Saturdays contact Kim Mulfinger at (812) 425-1037.
“If a brother or sister lacks food and one of you says, “go in peace,” and yet do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? Faith if it has no works is dead.”
