Groups and Classes

Small-Groups

Each week we offer classes and “small group” settings to build community and learn and grow together. We are dedicated to advancing education, both individually and in community. If you are looking for a place to belong, now is a great time to join.

Meaningful Ministries –M & M Class –Fred Mulfinger
This Adult Sunday School class will focus on carrying out activities that make our world a better place. Our initial program will be to use Sunday School hour to deliver altar flowers to our shut-ins and nursing home residents. A small gesture, but world-changing to the recipients of this ministry. As the year progresses we will explore other ministries that we, as passionate disciples of Christ, can use to positively impact our community and our world.

Wesley Advocates Leaders–M & George Payne and Sherry Bevins Darrell. In September and October, Wesley Advocates are reading Tyson’s biography Assist Me to Proclaim: The Life and Hymns of Charles Wesley in addition to viewing two feature films about the Wesleys. We welcome new members who wish to read and discuss.Dr. Sherry Darrell. Click here to access the group’s website and learn about its past and future topics.

Journey thru the Bible —This class is taught by pastor Todd. Currently we are in the book of Exodus  discussing some of the  most familiar stories of the Hebrew scripture. We are also looking at some more difficult and problematic texts. This is a great chance for fellowship and questions.  We are all learners.

Godly Play —For children and youth we offer a Sunday morning program called Godly Play, a unique approach to religious education. Godly Play invites children to wonder about themselves, God, and the world in a way that is playful and meaningful to them.
